In 2014, the Gakko-gura, an abandoned school that was once described as "the elementary school with the most beautiful sunset in Japan," was revitalized as a sake brewery, where sake is brewed using rice grown on Sado Island and renewable energy.
In 2022, the Gakko Gura produced the "Kanadele / KANADEL" series.
The vessels are made by Mumyoi ware "Ito Sekisui", a living national treasure.
