The Roaches 【A】 兵庫県民
I believe that "hidden treasure" refers exactly to Okada Honke Sake Brewery. Although Hyogo Prefecture is known as a sake-producing area, Kakogawa has almost no recognition as a sake town. Even I, a resident of the neighborhood, am not aware of it at all. I visited Kakogawa with the sole purpose of "conquering all the sake breweries in Hyogo. In a positive sense, the result greatly exceeded my expectations. The brewery has a long history, the brewer has a degree in brewing, the "Morinori" brand has been revived, and the enthusiasm for product development, etc. The entire story of this brewery is interesting, and it is a "pleasant" brewery to visit where tradition and new technology are in perfect harmony. Sake is people, and this pleasantness is reflected in the quality of the sake. Seven or eight of us tasted "Nama Hashiroshi Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo" and about 10 other sakes. Sake is said to be a luxury item, and this sake was unanimously the best, regardless of whether you are a sake drinker, an aphrodite, a dry drinker, a sweet drinker, or someone with other tastes 😳. Except for limited edition sake that is not usually sold at the brewery, this sake was the best among the general brands. I don't think any Banshu people have any expectations when they hear the word "Kakogawa," but...it was the real thing!
