He bought it on a business trip to Toyama. It is a new product from the Ginban Shuzo brewery, and is apparently not sold very often outside of Toyama.
It is a little dry, as is typical of northern Japan, but because it is a junmai daiginjo, it is very easy to drink. He finished it in a blink of an eye.
