うえぽんNishi Shuzo, the brewer of Tomino Hozan, learned to make this sake from Takagi Shuzo of Jyushiyo (apparently a senior and junior relationship at Tokyo University of Agriculture).
It seems that Kagoshima has not had sake for a long time, but when I drank it, I could not believe it was a very tropical sake (excuse me!). It was a delicate and smooth sake. It is quite impressive.
