It is sweet. Perhaps because it is a daiginjo, it leaves a sour and slightly cloying aftertaste when drunk alone. However, when paired with a meal (especially one with a strong flavor), the acidity and other tastes disappear, leaving behind an aromatic sweetness. Delicious!
