Purchased at Hasegawa Sake Shop in Tokyo Station in August.
I had decided not to buy sake in Tokyo, but I could not pass up Morishima.
Because you can't buy it in Niigata...
I always wanted to try it because I had an image of it being modern and light.
When I drank it, I found that the sweetness had been cut down quite a bit, and it was sharper and paler than I had imagined.
It has a refreshing fruitiness and a moderate acidity, making it easy to drink.
It has a light flavor, so it can be paired with any meal, but I think it would look better with Western food. Carpaccio, for example.
I would like to try the other Morishima.
