The Ota Shuzo Brewery is designated as a tangible cultural property near Horyuji Temple. I was curious, so I dropped by and bought a bottle of "Hatsujigure" (1,800 yen).
We had it with cold sake.
The aroma is like magic ink with a strong alcohol taste. It is a traditional sake.
The texture on the tongue is soft.
The aroma of rice goes through the nose, and there is a tingling sensation on the tongue, but at the end, the sourness from the rice disappears.
This is the traditional feeling of sake.
The front label is Hatsujigure, but the back label is Miwafuku. I didn't understand it at first, but when I looked it up on the internet, I found that Ota Shuzo is no longer brewing at the brewery.
It seems that the brewery is being sold by Isaka Shuzojo in Kishiwada City.
Isaka Shuzo's "Miwafuku Junmai" costs 1320 yen online, and Ota Shuzo's "Miwafuku Junmai (Hatsujigure)" label is 1800 yen...
