I bought it at a roadside station while I was visiting Oribe Hills in Gifu to see some pottery.
It's a sake brewery run by just two people, and they say it's perfect for sipping.
The dish was a hot pot with eel liver and red pickled vegetables, also purchased at the station.
The sake has a light and unconventional taste that complements the food well.
