This is a bottle from Tadenokawa Shuzo, which produces Tatenokawa, a sake that I have recently been curious about but have yet to try.
It is a liqueur made by combining a generous amount of Jersey yogurt from the Chokai Mountains in Yamagata Prefecture with sake (junmai daiginjo).
It has a rich texture, and while it also has the sake-like taste of sake, the richness of the yogurt, moderate acidity, and milky flavor are irresistible!
It is especially good chilled or on the rocks rather than straight.
