When just the sake is taken in the mouth, it has little aroma and leaves a pungent and bitter taste.
When drunk with a strong acidic meal such as ahi nanban (horse mackerel), it has a sweet and refreshing taste, and can be easily drunk.
It is a very good sake to drink as a food sake.
It tastes mellower and tastes better at near room temperature than cold sake.
