It's a sweet and savoury type of sake, but with a stronger alcoholic sensation that I've never really felt in Yamadanishiki sake, for intermediate drinkers.
Well... The alcohol content is 17 degrees, so it may be reasonable.
As a Junmai sake... From the point of view of a Junmaishu, the aroma is gorgeous and blooming, so it has a bit of a Ginjo feel to it.
The taste is quite robust, so it's no wonder it's called Junmaishu.
It is a raw sake, so it feels a little young... I think you can drink it like a good quality white wine. I think so... Actually, I haven't tried it myself, but I think it would go well with pizza or something at a party, rather than drinking it alone in an izakaya. I think so.
(That's not a good analogy for the current times, though.)
This is just my personal opinion.
Basically, Yamada Nishiki sake is easy to drink and popular with everyone, so if you buy it just because it's Yamada, you might miss out. I thought so.
However, I myself consider diversity to be a good thing, so if you are able to feel that way, I think you will be able to enjoy it.
