We made slaughterhouse sake with pine, bamboo and plum. Slaughter is said to have originated in China in ancient times, when people used to prepare sacred medicines, soak them in sake and drink them to ward off disasters and pray for happiness.
Sutra means to slaughter evil spirits, and Su means to revive the soul.
The medicinal herbs, pine, bamboo and plum, are enveloped in a noble fragrance that spreads gorgeously across your face when you hold it in your mouth.
I am grateful for the gift from my friend who purchases incense regularly.
It's been a great New Year's!
