Suzuki Shuzo, originally located in Namie, is brewing a new sake called "Tamaki" in Nagai City, Yamagata Prefecture.
I used to buy and drink it every year, but this year I was transferred to another city, so I couldn't drink it many nights, so I left it for a month.
Personally, I love Banjo Kotobuki, but this Revive is also a Junmai Ginjo, and has a very clean taste and is extremely light.
At room temperature, the gentle sweetness is really delicious. And yet, the aftertaste is refreshing and leaves a cool feeling.
For Namie, which is struggling to recover from the disaster, the label expresses the brightness of the city and the people holding hands on the outside of the label.
The rice is "Sawa-no-hana", and although it has brightness all over, it also has a slow and delicious flavor, but it is not overpowering. The level is extremely high.
The story of evacuation, rebuilding, and recovery, starting 10 years ago, is something to be felt.
But even just as a sake, it's a high-level product, and I'm deeply moved by it this year.
I can't wait to drive around Tohoku in my car and tour the sake breweries. Corona, get well soon!
